History

1985
It all started back in 1985 with the cultivation of shoots and seedlings, and a weekly tofu production of 4 kilograms under the company name Life Food. The tofu was hand produced using simple equipment in rented cellar space and sold fresh at the weekly market in
Freiburg.
1987
Tofu production has now reached 80 kilograms a week. Using the Taifun
brand name, a stall is rented in the newly opened Freiburg "Markthalle"
(Market Hall) offering a changing daily menu of tofu dishes.
